Establish a life skills center to cultivate children’s awareness of the dignity of work.

In a bright, clean kitchen, fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, children dressed in red chef uniforms sit and stand—some kneading dough, others pressing noodles, and still others shaping steamed buns. Nearby, the teacher patiently corrects their techniques, carefully guiding them to master the proper methods.

In our efforts to cultivate moral education in early childhood, we have observed that most children come from urban areas, with many being cared for by their grandmothers or great-grandmothers. As a result, they largely lead lives dependent on adults and have little understanding of the hardships of work and daily life. To address this, we established a “Life Skills Pavilion” and assigned teachers to guide the children in participating in hands-on activities.

In the life‑skills classroom, teachers not only help children learn to identify fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, but also explain the agricultural production process and guide them in making foods such as steamed buns, stuffed buns, dumplings, noodles, and rice. This fosters in children a lifelong habit of valuing hard work and cherishing food.

We have brought labor into the classroom, fostering in students from an early age the belief that labor creates a better life and a brighter future. Through labor education, we aim to illuminate the very essence of children’s lives with the spirit of work. By experiencing the hardships of labor and cherishing its fruits, we cultivate in students a lifestyle rooted in diligence and frugality, while nurturing their labor‑related competencies. We also help them develop a mindset of hard work and focus, teamwork, observation and analysis, and collaborative sharing, all while teaching them to be grateful to their parents and to appreciate life itself.

Offer golf lessons to cultivate independence and build confidence from an early age.

Typically, golf is played on expansive courses that are far from city centers, and the lengthy time required for each round has hindered its widespread adoption and development in China. In reality, as a sport introduced from abroad, golf is a healthy activity that benefits children’s physical and mental well-being. The four letters of “golf” stand for green, oxygen, sunshine, and friendship—four words that capture the very essence of the game.
