Offer golf lessons to cultivate independence and build confidence from an early age.

Typically, golf is played on expansive courses that are far from city centers, and the lengthy time required for each round has hindered its widespread adoption and development in China. In reality, as a sport introduced from abroad, golf is a healthy activity that benefits children’s physical and mental well-being. The four letters of “golf” stand for green, oxygen, sunshine, and friendship—four words that capture the very essence of the game.

Typically, golf requires expansive courses and is often located far from city centers, with each round taking a considerable amount of time—factors that have limited the sport’s widespread adoption and development in China. Yet, as an imported pastime, golf is actually a healthy activity that benefits children’s physical and mental well‑being. The four letters of “golf” stand for green, oxygen, sunshine, and friendship—four concepts that capture the essence of the game. Golf doesn’t have to be played on a full 18‑hole course to qualify; a simple sports field, a set of soft‑tipped golf clubs, and a child who can hit the ball and sink it into the hole while fully enjoying the beauty of nature and growing together with peers—that, too, is true golf.

Therefore, by introducing golf lessons—offering one session per week—we aim to effectively enhance young children’s object‑manipulation skills and focus, helping them develop sustained attention, cultivate independent thinking and resilience, and foster good habits of etiquette and adherence to rules. This approach also broadens their international horizons, nurturing well‑mannered, graceful little gentlemen. At the same time, our preschool golf program creates an English‑speaking environment, enabling children to naturally learn and use English through physical activity, achieving true immersive language acquisition—and paving the way for a bright future through golf.

With the advancement of society, urban residents’ lifestyles and leisure activities have undergone significant changes. As a result, many children engage in insufficient physical activity, exhibiting generally poor motor skills and suboptimal physical fitness. Over time, this can adversely affect their mental health and their academic and daily lives. To address this, it is essential to prioritize the development of children’s physical fitness from an early age, with the aim of helping them build a strong and healthy body.

The early childhood physical fitness program will enhance young children’s fundamental motor skills and basic athletic abilities, promote healthy growth and development, strengthen their physical health, and improve their self‑protection capabilities. At the same time, the curriculum will support children’s psychological development by fostering an awareness of rules and a sense of teamwork, teaching them to respect their opponents, accept both favorable and unfavorable outcomes, and build resilience, self‑confidence, and independent thinking.

Former NBA star and Chinese Basketball Association President Yao Ming places great importance on physical education. “I firmly believe that sports are an integral part of education, embodying a spirit and serving as a vital component of character‑building. By strengthening both body and mind, we cultivate the principled, transparent values and competencies that every citizen should possess—qualities that are essential to shaping a mature, civilized society in the future.” Through this collaboration, we will continue to deepen our exploration of the “sports + education” model, using physical education to help children become fully qualified members of society.
